Algebra I: Today in math students began class with a Do Now and a set of warm up problems, before students jumped into chapter 3 and working with functions.  Students then went over the homework (TB p. 151 #5-10) and reviewed the key concept of horizontal and vertical translations from Wednesday, before Mr. Olsen led students through a lesson on horizontal and vertical stretches and shrinks. We did several practice problems together in class, identifying the presentation format and what clues to look for when deciding what type of transformation is occurring within the given problem.  Students were then assigned homework from the text book, page 152 #17-22, to be due on Friday in class.

Assignments:  Students were then assigned homework from the text book, page 152 #17-22, to be due on Friday in class.  Students can also expect a quiz in class on Friday.
