Algebra I: Today in math students began class with a Do Now and a set of warm up problems, before students jumped into chapter 3 and working with functions.  We graded/reviewed our homework from Monday.  Students then transitioned into section 3.3 on function notation.  After some teacher led instruction and a few examples, students were given class time to begin working on the section 3.3 practice workbook activities on page 69 of the workbook.

Assignments:  The practice workbook activities for section 3.3 (pages 69-71) are due on Wednesday in class.

7th Grade Math: Students began class with a Do Now and several Flashmaster activities, before students transitioned into chapter 2 and rational numbers.  We spent todays class period reviewing how to cross cancel when multiplying fractions.  Next, we transitioned back into dividing fractions.  Students practiced several problems, before being handed a worksheet and given class time to begin practicing dividing fractions.  The front side of the worksheet is due on Wednesday in class.

Assignments: Review HW #13 is due Wednesday in class.  Students were then asked to complete the front side of a dividing fractions worksheet for class on Wednesday.

Science:  Students began class with the Do Now. Students then continued our discussion on observations in science.  We then transitioned back into their assigned dry ice experiment groups, and students were compiling all of their data, observations and results collected during our experiments from last week, into a detailed group lab report.  Students spent today's class period completing their detailed group lab report.  Once the lab report was signed off by Mr. Olsen, student groups began typing up the lab report on Google Docs.

The poster project that is due on Tuesday October 17th.

Assignments:  None.
