Algebra I: Students began class with the Do Now and the Problem of the Day.  Students were then introduced to chapter 9 and working with radicals.  We continued with section 2, and today students were solving quadratic equations through graphing.  After some teacher led instruction and several practice problems on working with the properties of radicals and quadratics, students were assigned some homework from the text book, page 495 #47; 49; as well as practice workbook pages 286 & 287 activities 2 & 3, to be due on Tuesday in class.

7th Grade Math: Students began class with the Do Now and the problem of the day.  Next, students reviewed how to calculate discounts and markups.  Students were then given class time to begin working with the simple interest formula.  Students reviewed the simple interest formula, and we had a class discussion each part of the formula and how to use it. Then students used the remaining class time to work on practice workbook page 140, to be due on Tuesday in class.

Assignments:  Review Homework #55 is due on Wednesday in class.  Practice workbook page 140 is due on Tuesday in class.

Science:  Students began class with the Do Now.  We then transitioned into a unit on sports balls and the materials used to create the ball and how the materials are distributed and how those given materials may cause the ball to act.  Students were then given class time to begin observing, and measuring the cross sections of several different types of sports balls.  

Assignments: None.
