Algebra I: No math class today, Thursday April 5th.

Students began class with the Do Now and the Problem of the Day.  We then jumped into chapter 8 and continued our discussion of graphing quadratic functions.  Students reviewed standard form, as well as vertex form, before jumping back into intercept form and how to graph quadratic functions presented in intercept form.  After some teacher led instruction and several examples, students were assigned some homework from the textbook, page 455-456 #10; 24; 27; 29; 52; 54; 58; 63, to be due on Friday in class.

7th Grade Math: No math class today, Thursday April 5th.

Students began class with the Do Now and the problem of the day.  Next, students reviewed the percent proportion to help when finding parts, wholes and or percents.  After a bit of teacher led instruction, students were given class time to complete the section 6.3 Practice A worksheet, to be due on Friday in class.

Assignments: Review HW #51 is due on Friday in class.  6.3 Practice A worksheet is due on Friday in class.  Students can and should be studying their fractions, decimals and percents for the test on April 13th.

Science:  Students are researching an assigned element in order to create an advertisement, "selling their element" to a target audience that each student will identify through their research.  Friday will be the final day of class time to work on the project. 

The final products will be due at the beginning of class on Tuesday April 10th.  

Assignments: Students can and should be working on completing their element research, sketching out a rough draft of their advertisement, and beginning to put together their final product.
