Algebra I: Students began class with the Do Now and the Problem of the Day.  Students were then introduced to chapter 9 and working with radicals.  Today, we jumped back into section five on using the quadratic formula, and interpreting the discriminant and using it to determine the number of solutions to a quadratic equation.  We also talked about how to choose the right method for solving quadratic equations.  Students have been introduced to five different methods throughout the past few chapters.  After some teacher led instruction and several example problems, students were assigned some problems from the text book page 521/522 #15-25 odds; 26; 31-43 odds and 51, to be due on Tuesday in class.  


Students can expect the chapter 9 test on Thursday of this week.  

Last Friday's homework was text book page 521 #3-7 odds; and 9-13 all.


Assignments:  Students were assigned some homework from the text book, pages 521/522 #15-25 odds; 26; 31-43 odds and 51, to be due on Tuesday in class.  

7th Grade Math: Students began class with the Do Now and the problem of the day.  Next, students were introduced to chapter 7 and defining and identifying adjacent and vertical angles.  After some teacher led instruction and several examples, students were assigned the section 7.1 Practice A worksheet, to be due on Tuesday in class.

Assignments:  Review Homework #57 is due on Wednesday in class.  Students were assigned the section 7.1 Practice A worksheet, to be due on Tuesday in class.

Science:  Students began class with the Do Now.  Today students were exploring Newton's First Law of Motion, as it was being applied in a lab setting.  

Assignments: None.
