Algebra I: Students began class with the Do Now and the Problem of the Day.  We then jumped into back chapter 8 and continued our discussion of graphing quadratic functions.  Students reviewed standard form, vertex form as well as intercept form.  We also reviewed how to identify linear, exponential and quadratic functions from given data.  Students were then introduced to first and second differences and how to use them to write a function from the given data.  We ended class with the concept of comparing functions by using average rates of change.  Students were then assigned some homework from the text book, pages 465-466 #9-17 odds; 21; 24; 25, to be due on Thursday in class.

Assignments:  assigned some homework from the text book, pages 465-466 #9-17 odds; 21; 24; 25, to be due on Thursday in class.

7th Grade Math: Students began class with the Do Now and the problem of the day.  Next, students reviewed the percent proportion to help when finding parts, wholes and or percents.  Next, students were introduced to the percent equation, and after some teacher led instruction and several example problems, students were given class time to complete practice workbook page 128, which will be due on Thursday in class.

Students can and should be studying their fractions, decimals and percents for the test on April 13th.

Assignments:  Review Homework #52 is due on Thursday in class.  Practice workbook page 128 is due on Thursday in class.

Science:  Students began class with the Do Now before we transitioned to using our class time for students to create a front and back notecard with any information they felt they may need on the chemistry test on Thursday.

Our Chemistry Unit Test is scheduled for Thursday April 12th.
