Algebra I: Today in math students began class with a Do Now and a set of warm up problems, before students jumped back into chapter 3, section 3 and working with function notation.  After some teacher led instruction and several examples of how to use function notation, as well as how to graph a line in slope intercept form, students were assigned some homework from the practice workbook, pages 72-73, to be due on Friday in class.
Students can expect a quiz on Friday in class.

7th Grade Math: Today in math students began class with the Do Now and their flashmaster or the Problem of the Day.  Next, students were introduced to adding integers.  Students defined what positive and negative integers are, before we learned a song to help us remember the rules adding and subtracting integers.   After a bit of teacher led instruction and several examples, students began working on practice workbook page 8.  This workbook page 8 will be due on Friday in class.

Assignments:  Review HW #12 is due on Friday in class.  Workbook page 8 is due on Friday in class.

Science:  Today in science, students got into their Local Ecology Project groups, and they were given class time to continue working as a group on the Taku Watershed Poster Project.  Groups were finalizing and printing their paragraphs, and were beginning to plan out their final products.  

This project will be due at the beginning of class on Wednesday October 17.

Assignments:  None.
