Algebra I: Today in math students began class with a Do Now and a set of warm up problems, before students jumped into chapter 3, section 3 and working with function notation.  After some teacher led instruction and several examples of how to work with and write functions using function notation, students were then assigned some homework from the textbook, pages 125-126 #1-10; 12-30 evens, to be due on Thursday in class.

7th Grade Math: Today in math students began class with the Do Now and their flashmaster or the Problem of the Day.  Next, students were continuing to work with the concept of absolute value.  After a bit of teacher led instruction and several examples, students completed practice workbook page 6.  Students were then handed the section 1.1 Practice A worksheet.  This worksheet will be due on Thursday in class.

Assignments:  Review HW #12 is due on Friday in class.  Section 1.1 Practice A worksheet is due on Thursday in class.

Science:  Today in science, students got into their Local Ecology Project groups, and they were given class time to continue finalize their assigned paragraph within their group.  Once students have a hand written paragraph, students then found a student from another group and peer edited each other's work.  Once the peer edit process was complete, students were free get on Google Docs and type their paragraphs and share it with their group members.

This project will be due at the beginning of class on Wednesday October 17.
