Algebra I: Today in math students began class with a Do Now and a set of warm up problems, before students jumped into chapter 3 and working with functions. After some teacher led instruction and several examples of how to work with and write functions using function notation, students were then assigned some homework from the practice workbook, pages 69 & 70, to be due on Wednesday in class.

7th Grade Math: Today in math students began class with the Do Now and their flashmaster or the Problem of the Day. Next, students were introduced to the idea of absolute value. We defined the vocabulary words and practiced identifying the absolute value of several examples.
Assignments: Review HW #11 is due on Wednesday in class.
Science: Today in science, students got into their Local Ecology Project groups, and they were given class time to continue researching their assigned portion of the project, and to begin writing the rough draft of the paragraphs for each of the three parts of the project.
This project will be due at the beginning of class on Wednesday October 17.
