Science is based on observations and our discussion in class centered around how we observe the world around us everyday, as well as how we record our observations for future use. CRAP is an acronym used to describe the different elements that we expect our students to incorporate into their projects, presentations, and other work throughout the school year. CRAP stands for Contrast, Repetition, Alignment and Proximity. I encourage all parents and guardians to talk with your son or daughter about these elements and help us teachers enforce the importance of C.R.A.P. throughout this school year!

Again, students are asked to return the signed portion of the syllabus signed by both their parent/guardian and themselves by Friday of this week. I am also asking parents/guardians to contribute a $10 lab fee if they are so inclined, in order to help off set the costs associated with the purchasing of lab experiment materials throughout the school year. Thank you in advance on behalf of the Aurora House science classes! The last twenty minutes of class time was used by the students to complete a Personality Bingo worksheet in order to begin the process of teambuilding. This entailed all of the students to get up and move around the room introducing themselves to their classmates and answering questions in order to fill out the bingo card.
