Algebra I: Students began class with the Do Now and the Problem of the Day.  Students were then given the remaining time in class to continue preparing for the semester 2 final, scheduled for Tuesday morning in class.


Assignments:  Students can expect to take the chapters 6-10 final on Tuesday.

7th Grade Math: Students began class with the Do Now and the problem of the day.  Next, students were given class time to continue working on their Isometric Dream House project.

Assignments:  The Dream House project is due on Friday May 18th.  

Science:  Students were given class time to finalize and hand in their Newton's Laws of Motion comic strip projects.

Assignments: Students should be working on their Newton's Laws of Motion comic strips, that are due on Monday May 14th.

Algebra I: Students began class with the Do Now and the Problem of the Day.  Students were then introduced to solving square root or radical functions.  Students reviewed what the parent function of a square root function looks like on a graph as well as describing the transformations of the parent function.  After some teacher led instruction and several examples, students were assigned some homework from the text book, page 564 #10; 16; 42; 54; 64, to be due on Friday in class.

Students can expect the chapter 10 test (on sections 10.1 and 10.3) on Friday in class.

The semester 2 final is scheduled for Tuesday May 15th.

7th Grade Math: Students began class with the Do Now and the problem of the day.  Next, students were introduced to the Isometric Dream House project.  Mr. Olsen led students through a quick lesson, identifying the differences between oblique and isometric perspectives.  Students then used the rest of the class period to continue designing and sketching their dream house on isometric dot paper.

Assignments:  The Dream House project is due on Friday May 18th.  

Science:  No class today due to MAPs testing.

Science:  Students began class with the Do Now.  Today students were exploring Newton's Third Law of Motion, as it was being applied in a lab setting.

Algebra I: Students began class with the Do Now and the Problem of the Day.  Students were then introduced to chapter 9 and working with radicals.  Today, we jumped into section six on solving system of nonlinear equations by graphing as well as algebraically.  After some teacher led instruction and several example problems, students were assigned some problems from the text book page 530 #7; 12; 14; 18; 20; 23; 25; 40, to be due on Wednesday in class.

Students can expect the chapter 9 test on Thursday of this week.

7th Grade Math: Students began class with the Do Now and the problem of the day.  Next, students jumped back into chapter 7 and were working on learning how to use a protractor correctly and efficiently.  After some teacher led instruction and several examples, students were assigned a packet of work identifying types of angles and using their protractors to draw angles.

Assignments:  Review Homework #57 is due on Wednesday in class.  The third page of the six page packet is due on Wednesday in class.

Science:  Students began class with the Do Now.  Today students were exploring Newton's Second Law of Motion, as it was being applied in a lab setting.
