Chapter 5 TEST is scheduled for this Friday December 13th!

The semester 1 Final is scheduled for next Wednesday December 18th.

7th Grade Math: Students began math class with the Do Now and a problem of the day.  Next, students were continuing to work with simplifying expressions by identifying the terms of an expression before combining like terms and using the distributive property before simplifying.  Today, students continued learning how solve equations using inverse operations.  After some teacher led instruction and several examples, students ended class by completing a solving one step equations worksheet in class.

Assignments:  Review Homework #24 is due Wednesday in class.

Science: Day 2!  The Taku House was introduced to a house wide project on Tlingit Culture compared to another culture that lives in another type of biome around the world.  Mr. Sheufelt's class was mixed with Mr. Olsen's class and those groups were assigned a different biome to compare to the Tlingit culture.  Groups will be creating scale models of longhouses and other dwellings as well as producing a tri-fold poster of the research each group will be conducting over the next several days.
