8th Grade Math:  Today in math students began class with the Do Now. We then transitioned back into chapter 5.  Students were given all of the the class period to begin reviewing for the chapter 5 test that is scheduled for Thursday afternoon.  Students were handed a chapter 5 review activity and given class time to work on it.

Assignments:  Review HW #54 is due Friday in class.  The review packet handed out in class on Monday is due Friday in class.  The chapter 5 test will be Thursday.

7th Grade Math:  Today in math students began class with the Do Now.  Next, students jumped into chapter 7 and began working with rational and irrational numbers.  Students reviewed the Pythagorean Theorem before we started talking about rational and irrational numbers. Students participated in a conversation about the difference between rational and irrational numbers before Mr. Olsen led them through a lesson on how to classify a value.  After some teacher led instruction and several examples, students were assigned workbook page 158, to be due Thursday in class.

Assignments:  Review HW #54 is due Friday in class.  The review packet handed out in class on Monday is due Friday in class.   Page 158 in the workbook is due Thursday in class.

  

Science:  Students did not meet for science today, Wednesday or Thursday due to MAPs testing in the mornings.  We are having math and language arts classes in the afternoon.
