Algebra I: Today in math students began class with a Do Now and a set of warm up problems, before students jumped into chapter 3 and working with functions.  Mr. Olsen reminded students of our  lesson on horizontal and vertical stretches and shrinks.  Today students were describing and graphing linear equations with multiple transformations.  We practiced several problems together in class, identifying the presentation format and what clues to look for when deciding what type of transformation is occurring within the given problem. Students were then assigned the section 3.6 Practice A worksheet as homework, to be due on Thursday in class.

Assignments:  Students were then assigned the section 3.6 Practice A worksheet as homework, to be due on Thursday in class.

7th Grade Math: Students began class with a Do Now and several Flashmaster activities, before students transitioned into chapter 2 and rational numbers.  Students then were learning to multiply and divide rational numbers.  We reviewed the rules for multiplying and dividing with integers, as the same rules apply when multiplying and dividing rational numbers.  Next, we practiced several example problems together as a group, before students were assigned practice workbook page 40 #1-3, to be due on Thursday in class.

Assignments: Review Homework #19 is due on Friday.  Practice workbook page 40 #1-3 are due Thursday in class.

Science:  Students began class with the Do Now. Next, students grouped up into groups of 4 and each group was handed an article on an invention by Thomas Edison that ultimately failed.  Student groups read the article and then created a reciprocated learning poster that they will share with their classmates on Thursday in class.

Assignments:  None.
