8th Grade Math: Students began class with the problem of the day before students jumped back into chapter 4 and today we learned about the rules of exponents. We reviewed multiplying and dividing powers, and did several example problems, before Mr. Olsen handed out a worksheet for students to practice their new found skills.
Assignments: Review Homework #1 is due Thursday. Complete the 4.5 worksheet (#1-23 Odds only).
7th Grade Math: Today students began class with their flashmasters before jumping back into chapter 4. Today we began the review process for the chapter test on Friday.

Science: Today in science students were introduced to the concept of photosynthesis. We began class with a group discussion about plants and photosynthesis, including a discussion about the raw materials plants need before the process of photosynthesis can occur. Today we watched a few videos from the website of Teachers Domain to help re-enforce the concepts of photosynthesis. Students were then handed a worksheet to complete verifying their understanding.
Assignments: Complete the photosynthesis worksheet packet if they did not finish in the class time provided.
