Algebra I:  Students began class by completing a warm up problem, before we addressed our "practice test" we took on the Big Ideas website on Tuesday.  It was a good opportunity for students to identify holes in their learning from chapter 1.  During todays class, students were broken into groups and assigned to a breakout room, where they worked together to solve a series of problems from each section of chapter 1 (section 1-5) prepared ahead of time and shared to each student through Canvas as an assignment.  Students will be taking the OFFICIAL chapter 1 test on Friday in class.

Assignments:   The chapter 1 test is scheduled for class on Friday.  Any missing homework assignments associated with chapter 1 need to be submitted on Canvas by the end of the day on Friday (10/9/20) for any credit.

7th Grade Math: Students began class with a warm up problem, before students reviewed the rules for adding integers.  Today, students continued talking about how to subtract integers.  Students were given class time to open todays assignment through google assignments on Canvas.

Assignments: Students should be completing the 10/5/20 Subtracting Integers #1 assignment on Canvas.  Students should also be completing the 10/8/20 Subtracting Integers 1.3 on Canvas.

Science:  Students spent todays science class period continuing our discussion on the meaning of trophic levels and how food webs work in nature. Students were then introduced to our new assignment on Trophic Cascades within Canvas.  Students were given about 30 minutes of class time to watch some videos related to trophic cascades and fill in some slides embedded within the assignment.  The big piece of the current assignment has students drawing images depicting how the Arctic Ocean ecosystem functions with and without smelt.

Assignments: Students should have their Levels of Biological Organization project submitted on Canvas if they haven't already done so.
