8th Grade Math: Today in math students began class with the Problem of the Day.  Students then completed a notebook check from their chapter 2 notes.  Once students completed their notebook check and handed it in, they were handed a corrections sheet, and asked to complete their chapter 2 test corrections.

Assignments:  Review HW #22 is due Friday in class.   The chapter 2 test corrections are due Friday in class.

7th Grade Math: Today in math students began class with their flashmasters.  Students were then introduced to the metric system.  Today we reviewed the common prefixes used when measuring length, mass and capacity when using the metric system.  Students then participated in a vocabulary word sorting activity to help students understand the differences between customary and metric units.

The chapter 2 test will be on Monday of next week!

Assignments:  Review HW #22 is due Friday in class.  Students were assigned a customary and metric benchmark worksheet to be due Friday in class.

Science: Students began class with the Do Now.  Next, students reviewed the organelles within a cell.  Students then took notes while Mr. Olsen presented an analogy about how a cell is like a factory.  Students were then handed a homework assignment where they will create their own analogy about how a cell is like our school.

Assignments:  The analogy of how a cell is like DHMS is due Friday in class.
