Science: Students participated in a cross curriculum project based on the Roman Empire, where students were introduced to mosaics, and then given time to get into groups of 4 to 5 students and build their own mosaic based on a type of lifestyle choice their group chose. Students will be rotating over to the Campbell/Sheufelt team to learn another aspect of the Roman Empire on Thursday.

8th Grade Math: Today in math students began class with the Problem of the Day. Next, students were introduced to solving inequalities using addition and subtraction. The same process of solving equations with equal signs still apply to solving inequalities. Students worked with graphing simple inequalities using open or closed circles on a number line. Students were then handed a packet of work to complete throughout the week, as the Taku House will be MAPs testing on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday of this week.

After reviewing the rules of bar and double bar graphs and line graphs, we began working with how to interpret stem and leaf plots. Students worked together as we built unordered and then ordered stem and leaf plots using the data sets given. Students were then handed a packet of work to complete throughout the week, as the Taku House will be MAPs testing on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday of this week.
