Algebra I:  Students began math class with the Do Now and the Problem of the Day.  Next, students jumped back into chapter 7 and we were classifying polynomials, and learning how to add and subtract polynomials both horizontally and vertically.   After some teacher led instruction and several examples, students were assigned some homework from the textbook, page 362-363 #13-20; 22; 23-37 odds; 36; 44; 53, to be due on Tuesday in class.

7th Grade Math: Students began math class with the Do Now and a problem of the day.  Next, students completed a calculating coloring using their knowledge of operations and signs.

Science:  Students began class with the Do Now.  Next, students were continuing to learn about the periodic table by watching a short film on how the table is set up and everyday uses of many elements.

Algebra I:  Students began math class with the Do Now and the Problem of the Day.  Next, students were introduced to chapter 7 and we began talking about monomials and how to find the degrees of a given monomial.  After some teacher led instruction and several examples, students were assigned some homework from the textbook, page 362 #4; 5-12, to be due on Thursday in class.

7th Grade Math: Students began math class with the Do Now and a problem of the day.  Next, students continued working with inequalities and chapter 4.  We began class with a quick review/lesson on inequality symbols and how to use them when working with number lines.  Students were then solving two step inequalities using inverse operations.  

Assignments:  Students should be completing the two step inequalities worksheet we began in class if they did not finish in the class time provided.

Science:  Students began class with the Do Now.  Next, students completed their interactive Periodic Table Scavenger Hunt activity entitled "It's Elemental."  Students were exploring the periodic table to identify abundance levels of specific elements of various topics, such as the human body, and fireworks!

Algebra I:  Students began math class with the Do Now and the Problem of the Day.  Next, students who did not go on the Capitol Visit field trip took the chapter 6 test today in class.  

Assignments:  Students were assigned practice workbook page 203, to be due on Wednesday in class.

7th Grade Math: Students began math class with the Do Now and a problem of the day.  Next, students continued working with inequalities and chapter 4.  We began class with a quick review/lesson on inequality symbols and how to use them when working with number lines.  Students were then solving inequalities by using multiplication and division.  After connecting this lesson to solving equations using inverse operations students were completing practice workbook page 80 & 81 on working with two step inequalities.  

Assignments:  Review Homework #33 is due on Wednesday. 

Science:  Students began class with the Do Now.  Next, students completed their interactive Periodic Table Scavenger activity, before we transitioned into watching a film on Lewis & Clark's Great Journey West for social studies and students were responsible for completing a video note-taking guide as we watched the film.

Algebra I:  Students began math class with the Do Now and the Problem of the Day.  Next, students who did not go on the Capitol Visit field trip took the chapter 6 test today in class.  Students who attended the field trip will be taking the chapter 6 test on Tuesday in class.

Assignments:  Students were assigned practice workbook page 203, to be due on Wednesday in class.

Science:  Students began class with the Do Now.  Next, students were exploring an interactive Periodic Table by visiting a website provided by Mr. Olsen.  Students were then completing a Periodic Table Scavenger Hunt as part of a google classroom assignment during class today.

Algebra I:  Students began math class with the Do Now and the Problem of the Day.  Next, students jumped back into chapter 6.  We graded our homework from Wednesday, before students began by reviewing some exponential equation solving before we jumped back into section 6.6 on Geometric Sequences.  After some teacher led instruction and a few example problems, students were assigned some homework from the textbook page 336 #3-13 odds, 15-17, 19-29 odds and 30; 37; 40, to be due on Friday in class.

Science:  Students began class with the Do Now.  Next, students had a class discussion on agrochemicals vs. petrochemicals as well as time to answer a few questions on a Think, Write Pair Share worksheet.   Next, students read an article on corn-based chemicals and completed their Think Write Pair Share worksheet.

Algebra I:  Students began math class with the Do Now and the Problem of the Day.  Next, students jumped back into chapter 6.  We graded our homework from Monday, before students began by reviewing some equation solving before we jumped into section 6.6 on Geometric Sequences.  After some teacher led instruction and a few example problems, students were assigned some homework from the practice workbook, pages 193-194; the definitions on page 195 and page 196, to be due on Thursday in class.

7th Grade Math: Students began math class with the Do Now and a problem of the day.  Next, students continued working with inequalities and chapter 4.  We began class with a quick review/lesson on inequality symbols and how to use them when working with number lines.  Students were then solving inequalities by using multiplication and division.  After connecting this lesson to solving equations using multiplication and division, students were completing practice workbook page 78 in class. 

Assignments:  Review Homework #32 is due on Friday.  Workbook page 78 is due on Thursday in class.

Science:  Students began class with the Do Now.  Next, students were learning about how reading a science textbook is different than reading a novel for pleasure.  We had a class discussion on this topic as well as time to answer a few questions on a Think, Write Pair Share worksheet.  

Assignments: Students should be completing the Earth digital poster google classroom assignments and/or the partnered assigned planet assignment if they did not complete them during the class time provided.
