Algebra I: Today in math students began class with a Do Now and a warm up problem.  Next, students were continuing to work with chapter 7 and polynomials.  Next, students reviewed our work with special patterns of polynomials and the zero-product property.  Today students began factoring polynomials.  After some teacher led instruction and several example problems, students were assigned some homework from the textbook, page 389-390 #3-8; 14; 22-28 evens; 29; 31; 40, to be due on Tuesday in class.

7th Grade Math: Students began class with the Do Now, Flashmasters and/or the Problem of the Day.  Next, students reviewed factoring linear expressions using the GCF as well as factoring out the coefficient of a given expression.  Next, students continued learning to solve equations using inverse operations. After some teacher led instruction and several example problems, students were assigned an in class worksheet and given the remaining 20 minutes of class time to work on it.  

Assignments:  Review Homework #40 is due on Wednesday.

Science:  Today in science, students began class with the Do Now.  Next, students spent the hour researching select questions related to the film "Osmosis Jones" that we watched in class last week.  Students are responsible for writing a 1-2 page essay based on five questions related to the film.  The Osmosis Jones Essay is due in class on Thursday of this week.

Assignments:  None.
