Algebra I: Today in math students began class with a Do Now and a warm up problem.  Next, students were continuing to work with chapter 7 and polynomials.  Next, students reviewed multiplying polynomials using all three methods introduced last week, before we continued practicing work with special patterns of polynomials.  Today students were introduced to the Zero-Product Property.  After some teacher led instruction, students were assigned the section 7.4 explorations in the practice workbook, pages 219-221, to be due on Thursday in class.

Assignments: Students were assigned the section 7.4 explorations in the practice workbook, pages 219-221, to be due on Thursday in class.

7th Grade Math: Students began class with the Do Now, Flashmasters and/or the Problem of the Day.  Next, students reviewed factoring linear expressions using the GCF as well as factoring out the coefficient of a given expression.  Next, students continued learning to solve equations using inverse operations. After some teacher led instruction and several example problems, students were assigned practice workbook page 56 and given the remaining 20 minutes of class time to work on it.

Assignments:  Practice workbook page 56 is due on Thursday in class if students did not complete the work in the class time provided.  Review HW #39 is due on Thursday in class.

Science:  Today in science, students began class with the Do Now.  Next, we continued talking about the three methods in which cells can transfer materials into and out of the cell.  Students continued watching the film "Osmosis Jones" in class, which we will be watching for the next few days.  Students are filling out a video note-taking guide while we watch, which will help them when we finish the film and students will be writing a 1-2 page essay summarizing the film and how it connects to cells.
