Algebra I: Today in math students began class with a Do Now and a warm up problem.  Next, students were continuing to work with chapter 8 and graphing polynomials.  Students reviewed how to graph the parent function of a given quadratic equation and how that function is being transformed by different a and c values.  Students were then introduced to working with a function of the form y = ax2 + bx + c.  After some teacher led instruction and several example problems, students were assigned some homework from the textbook page 436 #3-6, to be due on Tuesday in class.

7th Grade Math: Students began class with the Do Now, Flashmasters and/or the Problem of the Day.  Next, students were introduced to chapter 5 and ratios, rates and unit rates.  Student completed the Chapter 5 preview on workbook pages 83-84 during class today.

Assignments:  Review Homework #43 is due on Wednesday in class.  Practice workbook pages 83-84 are due on Tuesday in class if students did not finish in the class time provided.

Science:  Today in science, students began class with the Do Now.  Next, students were reading to learn about photosynthesis.  Students began class by defining several key vocabulary words, before we read chapter 2 section 1 on Photosynthesis together as a class.
