Algebra I: Today in math students began class with a Do Now and a warm up problem.  Next, students were continuing to work with chapter 8 and graphing polynomials.  Students reviewed how to graph the parent function of a given quadratic equation and how that function is being transformed by different a and c values.  Students were then introduced to working with a function of the form y = ax2 + bx + c.  After some teacher led instruction and several example problems, students were assigned some homework from the textbook page 436 #7; 9; 11; 12; 13-17 odds; 21-25 odds; 29, to be due on Wednesday in class.

7th Grade Math: Students began class with the Do Now, Flashmasters and/or the Problem of the Day.  Next, students were introduced to our 4th quarter short term goal.  Students are to learn and memorize 17 commonly used fractions and their decimal and percentage equivalents by April 19th.  We will spend some class time each week helping students with strategies to help them memorize this information.

Assignments:  Review Homework #43 is due on Wednesday in class.

Science:  Today in science, students began class with the Do Now.  Next, students then continued learning about photosynthesis.  Students began class by reviewing the photosynthesis formula, and what raw materials are needed for the process to occur.  Students then watched a few videos to help solidify the concept before completing the section 2.1 worksheet on Photosynthesis to end class.
