Algebra I: Today in math students began class with a Do Now and a warm up problem.  Next, students were introduced to chapter 9 and using properties of radicals.  We reviewed the idea of square roots as well as cube roots, before reviewing adding, subtracting and multiplying radicals.  Today, students were solving quadratic equations by approximating the zeros of a given function.  After some teacher led instruction and several example problems, students were assigned some homework from the textbook, page 495 #47; 49, and practice workbook pages 286-287 activities 2 & 3, to be due on Tuesday in class.

7th Grade Math: Students began class with the Do Now, Flashmasters and/or the Problem of the Day.  Next, students were given some class time to continue memorizing their fraction/decimal/percent equivalents.  Next, students writing and solving proportions. Students were broken into groups of 2 or 3, and were playing proportion war with a classmate.

Assignments:  Review Homework #50 is due on Wednesday in class.  

Science:  Students began class with the Do Now.  Next, students were given class time to finalize their mitosis flipbook projects.  The flipbooks are due by the beginning of school on Tuesday April 23rd.
