Algebra I: Today in math students began class with a Do Now and a warm up problem.  Next, students were continuing to work with chapter 8 and graphing polynomials.  Next, students reviewed f(x) = a(x - h)² + k (vertex form).  Students were then introduced to intercept form and section 8.5.  After some teacher led instruction and a few example problems, students were assigned some homework from the textbook page 455 #21; 3-6, to be due on Wednesday in class.

7th Grade Math: Students began class with the Do Now, Flashmasters and/or the Problem of the Day.  Next, students were given some class time to continue memorizing their fraction/decimal/percent equivalents.  Next, students began working and identifying rates, how to write ratios, as well as finding unit rates.  After some class discussion, students were given class time to complete a quick worksheet on rates and ratios.

Students are to learn and memorize 17 commonly used fractions and their decimal and percentage equivalents by April 19th.  We will spend some class time each week helping students with strategies to help them memorize this information.  

Assignments:  Review Homework #45 is due on Wednesday in class.  

Science:  Today in science, students began class with the Do Now.  Next, students then continued learning about photosynthesis and how that process is related to cellular respiration.  Today, students completed a section 2.2 worksheet on Cellular Respiration.  Next, students were introduced to our next project, the Photosynthesis & Cellular Respiration Diagram and Essay project.  The diagram of the relationship between photosynthesis and cellular respiration will be due at the end of class on Thursday April 4th.  The essay on the same relationship is due at the beginning of class on Monday April 8th.
