Algebra I: Today in math students began class with a Do Now and a warm up problem.  Next, students were introduced to chapter 9 and using properties of radicals.  We reviewed the idea of square roots as well as cube roots, before reviewing adding, subtracting and multiplying radicals.  Today, students were solving quadratic equations by graphing.  After some teacher led instruction and several example problems, students were assigned some homework from the textbook, page 494 #8; 12; 20-32 evens, to be due on Friday in class.

7th Grade Math: Students began class with the Do Now, Flashmasters and/or the Problem of the Day.  Next, students were given some class time to continue memorizing their fraction/decimal/percent equivalents.  Next, students writing and solving proportions. Students were given 30 minutes of class time to complete a solving proportions worksheet.

Students are to learn and memorize 17 commonly used fractions and their decimal and percentage equivalents by this Friday (April 19).  We have spent some class time each day this week helping students with strategies to help them memorize this information.  

Assignments:  Review Homework #49 is due on Friday in class.  The solving proportions worksheet is due Friday if students did not finish in the class time provided.  Students should be memorizing their Fractions/Decimals/Percent equivalents for the TEST on Friday in class.

Science:  Students began class with the Do Now, before students took a pop quiz on photosynthesis and cellular respiration.  Next, students were introduced to the Mitosis Flip-book project that we will be working on for the next few days of class.

Assignments:  Students should be coming to class on Friday with the rough drafts of their flip books.
